Someone that can change your life

Samuel and Cheryl have applied for positions in the Immigration Department, so the topic for tonight's after-class bus talk was about their preparation for the test and fitness exam. Cheryl seemed to have greater chance, though girls would encounter tough days during the fitness part (it's unbelievable that boys and girls are judged on the same standard of physical test!!!). Samuel is less promising in passing all the tests due to his plum shape and big belly, though he has started special training recently:). But I was especially impressed by a story of Cheryl's father who is one of the officers in ID. She said his father once was sitting on the recruitment board while a guy came for the test 20 minutes'’ late. Other officers immediately crossed out the boy, but her father appreciated the boy's outstanding performance and believed he would take up quickly. Though the boy's excuse for his being late was odd, her father eventually retained him and gave him a chance, to say exactly, a life chance.

I thus wonder it could be really hard for us to encounter someone that could really change your life, but I doubt if I had met one already. Life is full of uncertainty and no one can tell what’s gonna happen ahead of us, but I would always believe opportunities fall on those who have fully prepared, and so do “someone” that could change our life.

BTW: some photos were taken during my light jogging this morning. The flowers were fabulous! A picture of spring and lively hope, though I don't even know what the types of flowers are:).
